I just want to say thank you to those of you who journeyed with me through these last 30 days. This has been such a great exercise for me and it’s been fun having my friends and awesome wife join in as guest bloggers. Thanks for all of your comments and interest in this project. I realize not every song was a hit, but it really helped me and was good discipline for me.

For today’s song, I plugged in my loop station and jammed out! I’m calling this song “Winds Over Chicago” for no other reason than that’s the first random thing that popped into my brain. Also, I know you are jealous of my polar bear jammies. Don’t hate!
I’m not going to lie. Today was a very busy day and it was about 10:30pm before I had a chance to search for inspiration for a song. I thought, “Why not just sing the top 30 singles from iTunes and try to fit them all together?” And this is what was birthed. If it seems like I’m a little off my rocker in this video, it’s because I was. It’s now time for sleep.

I felt like writing a song about how good God is. I went to the Psalms for inspiration and this is what came about!

Isaac Wimberley is a friend of mine from way back. He used to come over to my house and we would lower the basketball hoop and I would dunk all over his face. Although, he may not tell it quite like that. Oh, and I guess it doesn’t sound manly with the phrase “we would lower the basketball hoop”. Anyways, Isaac’s now a worship pastor down in Texas. This is the kind of song I imagine would go in between songs on an album or maybe as a closer for the entire album. This morning I read Psalm 24 and so this song was kind of formed from that.
